HERITAGE DAY KIDDIES UPSIDE COMPETITION

Competition Terms & Conditions (“T’s & C’s”)

These T’s & C’s, as may be amended from time to time, explain your rights and duties in respect of the Competition. By entering and/or accepting any prize, you agree to these terms. Please read carefully and pay special attention to terms in bold.

  1. Competition Name

Heritage Day Kiddies Upside Competition

  1. Promoter’s Details

This Competition is conducted and organised by Golden Walk Shopping Centre (“Centre”), offered by Redefine Properties Limited (Registration Number: 1999/018591/06) (“Landlord”).
 In these T’s & C’s, we refer to the above as “the Landlord”, and entrants as “Participants” or “you.”

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. Eligibility – Who May Enter?
  • Participants must hold a valid South African identity document or passport.
  • If younger than 18 years old, Participants must:


Provide consent from a parent/guardian, and
Be accompanied by a parent/guardian to receive any prize.


  1. Who May Not Enter

The Competition is not open to:

  • Directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, tenants of the Landlord at the Mall;
  • The Mall’s marketing service providers;
  • Any person who directly/indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members.

  1. Competition Period
  • Runs from 3 September 2025 – 30 September 2025 (“Competition Period”).
  • Entries outside this period will not be considered.


  1. How to Enter

Participants must, during the Competition Period:

  1. Visit the Centre’s social pages:

  1. Locate the Competition Post.
  2. Provide either: A 30-second video of their child, or

A comment answering the question: “What does living the upside mean to your kids?”

  1. Use the hashtag: #LivingTheUpside.
  2. Follow prompts to submit your entry.


Note: The Landlord reserves the right to disqualify and remove any entry that is offensive, irrelevant, or fails to meet the above requirements. No additional charges apply. Standard data costs may apply.

  1. Limitation on Entries

Each Participant may enter only once during the Competition Period.

  1. Winner Selection
  • The Landlord will randomly select 3 Winners using an electronic automated process.


  1. Winner Announcement
  • Winners will be selected on 2 October 2025.
  • Winners will be announced on 3 October 2025 via the Centre’s social media pages.
  1. The Prizes

Each Winner will receive one of three vouchers valued at R1,000 each, from:

  • Pick n Pay
  • Mr Price
  • Truworths


Note: Prizes are courtesy of the Landlord, not transferable, and may not be deferred, changed, or exchanged for cash.

  1. Winner Notification
  • Winners will be contacted after announcement on 3 October 2025.
  • If the Landlord cannot reach a Winner within 14 days, the entry will be disqualified and a new Winner selected.


  1. Prize Collection
  • Prizes can be collected at the Centre Management Office during trading hours:
    Monday to Friday, 09h00 – 17h00.
  • Winners must:
    Appear in person,
    Provide a valid ID or passport, and
    Complete a waiver form before receiving the Prize.


  1. Deadline for Claiming Prizes

If a Winner fails to provide verification documents within 14 days of being informed, the Prize will be forfeited.

  1. Data Usage & Privacy

By entering, Participants acknowledge the Landlord may collect and use personal information, including:

  • Full name
  • Physical address
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Images/photographs


This information may be used for future marketing by the Landlord and Participating Merchants, unless Participants opt out. Information will be treated confidentially and disclosed only if required by law.

  1. General Terms
  1. The Landlord may terminate the Competition before its end date if necessary. No claims may be made against the Landlord in such cases.
  2. The Landlord is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries due to technical issues.
  3. Participation constitutes automatic acceptance of these T’s & C’s.
  4. Winners may be photographed for promotional purposes (Facebook, website, retail publications). Winners may decline.
  5. The Landlord makes no warranties that prizes will meet Winners’ expectations.
  6. To the extent permitted by law, the Landlord is not liable for accident, injury, harm, death, or damages arising from participation, unless caused by fraud or gross negligence.
  7. Participants must comply with all applicable laws, including intellectual property laws.
  8. These T’s & C’s are governed by South African law.
  9. The Landlord’s decisions regarding results, qualifiers, and disputes are final and binding.


  1. Amendments

The Landlord may amend these T’s & C’s with reasonable prior notice

  1. Marketing Communication
  • By entering, Participants consent to the Landlord retaining their contact details for marketing purposes.
